The Most Interesting Bike in the World

For this week, I present a bike so interesting that it doesn't even need to turn its pedals, it just coasts through life on its interestingness.

1. The Most Interesting Bike spent some time as a bullfighter in Spain. It didn't work out, though. The bull wouldn't charge, it just wanted to get close to the bike, entranced by the interesting things it had to say.

2. After a stint in the Peace Corps, The Most Interesting Bike joined Greenpeace, during which time the bike saved 127 whales and 63 groupers.

3. The Most Interesting Bike was the first bike to make a solo ascent up Mt. Everest.

4. The Most Interesting Bike spent some time as a soldier of fortune in the jungles of an unspecified third world country.

6. New Belgium Brewery Dandelion Ale

From Interesting_Bike

This beer, by the same brewery as the ubiquitous Fat Tire Ale is not quite like any other beer I have ever tasted. Orange-ish in color with not much of a head, the brewery replaced some of the hops with dandelion greens as a bittering agent. The result is quite refreshing. It is somewhat sweet with a bit of spiciness, reminiscent of some Belgian Ales (good Belgian Ales, for those of you that equate Belgian Ales with Stella, it sure ain't like that) and a slight bitterness that hangs around for awhile after you swallow. It seems to be a big hit at the Daily Pint in Santa Monica. They had a keg last week that they quickly went through and many who were hoping to try it (myself included) missed out. They got some more in this week and during the short time I was there yesterday, several others besides myself came in to see if there was still any left. This beer is part of the NEw Belgium "Lips of Faith" program, in which they experiment with different and unusual flavors in limited batches. If you happen to see this anywhere, I highly recommend it. At 7.8% ABV, it is just a little on the high side, alcohol-wise, but not so high that you can't enjoy a couple of them.
